The satellite rights of Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 has been sold to Zee TV Network.2.0: Sattelite rights sold out for 110 Crores!. The private channel has bought the satellite rights of the film’s Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions at Rs 110 crore. This is said to be the highest price ever paid for the satellite rights of a regional movie.
This news was confirmed by the creative head of Lyca Productions, Raju Mahalingam, who said, ‘It’s TRUE Lyca Productions gets a partner in Zee for our Mega Opus 2.0 Satellite!!!’

The movie which was initially set to be made at 350 crores is now made at 450 crores. 2.0 is said to be the second costliest film in Asia.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, it has Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in key roles.
Music is by AR Rahman. The cinematography is by Nirav Shah. Most of the shooting portion is over and the director has simultaneously been working on the post-production too. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
