The final match was scheduled on 28th May 2023. Unfortunately, Ahmedabad received an unexpected downpour and the match was cancelled. As postponed to the next day, it was conducted on 29th May 2023. The first innings saw GT’s total of 214/20 with a brilliant smash of Sai Sudharshan, a 22-year-old Chennai lad, who scored 96 out of 47 balls. However, the match was ceased due to rain and resumed with CSK’s target reduced to 171 for 15 overs. CSK’s Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, and Ambati Rayudu helped the team with their massive hits. Meanwhile, the match reached the climax with 10 runs for 2 balls. And Jadeja hit one of the balls to six and the last ball to the boundary, helped CSK lift the Trophy of IPL franchise for the 5th time.
With loyal fans in Yellove, the entire stadium was in flamboyant celebration. While Thala Dhoni was seemed emotional, he hugged and carried Jadeja in excitement. This wholesome picture and video of them having a winning hug have been circulating on social media platforms. The most-loved and selfless man, MS Dhoni, invited Ambati Rayudu and Jadeja to receive the IPL 2023 Trophy since Rayudu announced his retirement a few days ago. Thereby, CSK equaled the record of Mumbai Indians by bagging the title winner of IPL franchise for the 5th time.
Meanwhile, Jadeja just proved himself again with his super talent. Throughout the IPL matches, the fans chanted him to walk out and celebrated his lose to watch MS Dhoni bat after him. The cricketer even took to his twitter handle when he, earlier, won the prize with the title “The Most Valuable Asset of the Match” and wrote, “Upstox knows but…some fans don’t”. Well, the cricketer helped the team to win the title through his effective skill which is evident.
Howbeit, after winning the title for 5th titme, Jadeja again took his official Twitter to share his joy. The All-rounder also tweeted by sharing a few pictures with MS Dhoni and with IPL Trophy and the caption read, “We did it for ONE and ONLY “MS DHONI.” Mahi bhai aapke liye toh kuch bhi. . . ” The English translation goes as “Anything for you.” Thus, Jadeja dedicated the win to the special member of CSK, MS Dhoni.
