Thaman S Bags Dadasaheb Phalke Best Music Director Award

Music composer S Thaman is over the moon, as the maestro bags the Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Music Director South 2020.

Music composer Thaman S won praise from fans and colleagues in the industry. The music composer was lauded for his work in Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, especially for the track Butta Bomma and now he has bagged the award.

Thaman took to his social media and expressed his joy and gratitude. Ghantasala Sai Srinivas also known professionally as S. Thaman, predominantly works in Telugu cinema and Tamil cinema. He entered the film industry as a supporting musician with the Telugu film Bhairava Dweepam in the year 1994, when he was 11 years old.

Later he turned into a film music composer and became popular for his work as a music director. His debut films as music director were Sindhanai Sei in Tamil, and Malli Malli in Telugu. He made his acting debut with Boys (2003).

Thaman has composed music for some of the most awaited films, such as Yuvarathnaa, Krack, Sarakaru Vaari Paata, Varun Tej 10, PSPK 29, Vakeel Saab, Tuck Jagadish, Eeswaran and Kaduva.
