Inspired by the beautiful Havelis of the Shekhawati region in Rajasthan and their vibrant fresco art, our Festive 2021 collection is an ode to the memories of joy and comfort one feels on remembering an old adobe made with love and care. This festive season when we have the opportunity to celebrate with our families, MORAKASI echoes that feeling of home. Every piece in this collection speaks of warm comfort in intricately handmade pieces.

Festivities and rituals play an important role in India; they give us joy and happiness…they add sweetness and colour to our lives and MITHAI Shorshe’s pre-festive collection does just that. It celebrates colour and joy, that brings to you a bright coloured Palette to celebrate happiness after the dark times that we have all been through. It brings the sweetness of festivities into our lives with its vibrant bright shades of a jalebi orange, a laddoo yellow and a delectable mithai pink! Alongside the exquisite sets are coupled with their trademark gold zari tissue while Luscious handwoven silks & minimal dabka embroidery add to the rich Palette, making the collection irresistible. Let’s come together and celebrate this festive season with Shorshe!

Tilla’s pre-festive ‘21 Collection builds on The Vintage Project, which brings into focus heirloom folk embroideries from Kutch, Sindh, Afghanistan and Balochistan. This collection uses pitta, zardosi, ari and sequin embroidery on a palette that ranges from soft pinks and old roses to bright yellows and deep indigo. Classic styles like the kalidar kurta and shawl collar jacket are dressed up with metallic embroidery in a sophisticated and understated way, resulting in pieces that are timeless and wearable.

The spring season embarks us on a journey to the ancient port town of Machilipatanam, located on the banks of river Krishna in Andhra Pradesh. The region’s rich cultural and artisanal heritage inspires our collection, Nadiya. Get ready to experience simpler times with the mud-thatched huts standing tall and freshly-baked pots soaking under the sun while strolling along the banks of the serene river and walking to the newly harvested farmlands. Reinterpreting traditional designs, Nadiya introduces contemporary styles. Glide into versatile silhouettes and breezy drapes crafted in feather-light organza and rich Maheshwari and Chanderi fabrics. The soothing pastels and sophisticated jewel-toned ensembles decorated with printed jaal, paisley and floral bootis are further accentuated with ornate zari, pearl and badla embroideries, making these outfits an ideal choice for every festive season.

Says Designer Mandeep Nagi, “It’s been my wish for a long time to visit Kashmir, Our very own paradise and to do something that is inspired by its beauty, its people and craft. Firdaus is my interpretation of bridging the gap between places, people and fashion.”
