Applause Entertainment To Adapt Ramachandra Guha’s Book For Series, Starring Pratik Gandhi

Actor Pratik Gandhi will be seen playing Mahatma Gandhi in a new web series from Applause Entertainment.

The series will chronicles Mahatma Gandhi’s journey from his earliest days to his actions in South Africa to the great struggle in India, the series will tell the lesser known stories of his life which played an important role in shaping young Gandhi into a Mahatma.

The official handle of Applause Entertainment confirmed the project, it said, “Applause Entertainment is all set to bring alive a sweeping tale of the Indian Independence seen through the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi”

“Based on the iconic books by Ramachandra Guha, we are honored to craft an authentic narrative on the journey of a legendary icon who defined the history of modern India. The multi-season series, which has been adapted from historian Ramachandra Guha’s two books — ‘Gandhi Before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World’ — has cast ‘Scam 1992’ star Pratik Gandhi in the lead role.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Pratik Gandhi is currently enjoying the success of Modern Love Mumbai series on Amazon Prime India. He will soon be seen in Atithi Bhooto Bhava, Dedh Bigha Zameen, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, Phule and untitled romantic drama with Vidya Balan.
