Bhumi Pednekar & Parineeti Chopra inspire Simran Pareenja for her upcoming role in the TV show ‘Lakshmi Ghar Aayi’
Star Bharat’s much-awaited show, ‘Lakshmi Ghar Aayi’ will be premiering on 5th July 2021. With Ananya Khare, Simran Pareenja and Akshit Sukhija in pivotal roles, the show will be throwing light on the ongoing dowry system in today’s modern society. Simran Pareenja will be essaying the role of Maithali, a new bahu who falls prey to the harsh system; with nothing to offer to her money-minded mother-in-law but love.
When asked about her main sources of inspiration for portraying Maithali, Simran points out that Bhumi Pednekar’s role in the film ‘Toilet’ and Parineeti Chopra’s role in the film Jabariya Jodi has had a huge effect on her. Bhumi & Parineeti have played educated small-town women/girls in their respective movies and inspired women to stand against age-old bad practices.
Simran says, “Jaya Joshi & Babli Yadav represents modern girls in a backward society. They have a fighting spirit and that just shows how much today’s women can change society for the good. Both Bhumi and Parineeti portrayed strong women characters and motivated the audience and young girls like me to take a stand against evil practices.”
Lakshmi Ghar Aayi’ is produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms, will be hitting the TV screens from 5th July at 8:00 pm only on Star Bharat
