Rajinikanth Gets Vaccinated For COVID-19

Superstar Rajinikanth gets his first dose of the COVID vaccine at the age of 70; his daughter Soundarya shared a picture of the actor getting his vaccination.
Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya took to her social media profile and shared a picture of Thalaivar getting his first jab. She wrote, ” Soundarya Rajnikanth – Our Thalaivar gets his vaccine…Let us fight and win this war against Coronavirus together #ThalaivarVaccinated #TogetherWeCan #MaskOn #StayHomeStaySafe”
In the picture, Rajinikanth is properly masked and being given his shot by a medical professional in PPE kit.
Many celebrities, including Rajinikanth’s friend Kamal Haasan, have shared posts of themselves receiving their vaccinations. India is currently battling a brutal second COVID wave compounded by several shortages including of vaccines – this despite the government recently expanding its vaccination drive to include every one of 18 years and older.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth will next be seen in Annaatthe, which is written and directed by Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film also stars Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and Vela Ramamoorthy.
The music for the film will be composed by D. Imman while cinematography and editing are performed by Vetri and Ruben respectively. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Diwali, 4 November 2021.
