During his interaction with Newshelpline, we asked him about his achievement, Nana Patekar said, “It is such an amazing award; it is the finest award in my life. I am so happy about it. I came here to collect my award, otherwise, I usually don’t go to award functions to collect my awards, but it is such a huge honour, so I had to come”
Further adding, Nana urged our team not to ask him controversial questions pertaining to his alleged involvement in the #MeToo scandal, when Tanushree Dutta accused him of physical and sexual abuse.
He said, “And I am urging everyone, not to ask me controversial questions otherwise it will diminish the happiness of this award”
When we asked Nana Patekar the importance and meaning of an award in an actor’s life, he said, “An award is nothing more than a pat on the back, I have worked all our lives and now someone is patting my back for the hard work, and this one is bigger than any other award, it is named after Lata Mangeshkar’s father Deenanath Ji, so it is special”
Nana Patekar also hinted that he will soon announce his next film. He said, “Film is a medium, there is something you want to express, and you are saying it via movies, second, you need money, so I have something to say, the script is in works and as for the money, I think I have earned enough to survive comfortably, so I wouldn’t do silly work”
