Priya Ahuja Rajda, better known as Rita Reporter from the hit show, Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah, says the show is hit because of hard work and dedication of the team, nothing to do with luck.

In an exclusive interaction with NewsHelpline, actress Priya Ahuja talked about her journey, show, and being married to Malav Rajda.

Talking about the show being the most watched and hit serial for the longest, Priya Ahuja said, “Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah, the show is not a hit because of luck or fluke, it is the hardwork of everyone and every character. All the actors are brilliant, everyone give their best, even after 14 years of being on air, the kind of energy, positivity, and dedication everyone has for their character and the show is amazing”

Priya is married Malav Ahuja, the director of the show, and the couple recently renewed their wedding vows.

Talking about being married to the show director, Priya said, “I am married to the director, Malav is the most humble and humorous guy I’ve ever met in my life. He is genuine and sweet, humble, and grounded, despite coming from a theatrical background, and he a sweet person to work with”

Priya also shared an interesting anecdote about bagging the role in the show, probably a decade ago. She said, “In the original, I don’t think Rita Reporter’s character was written. I remember Asit Bhai called me his office and took my audition for some role, but he liked my audition so much that he decided to put in the show. I have been part of the show from the beginning, and it’s been a wonderful journey. I am feeling blessed and grateful”
News was viral that the character of Rita Reporter will soon be dissolved and wouldn’t appear on the show.

For the first time, we have a response for Priya about the news, she said, “The show has given me so much professionally and personally as well. I have been with the show from the start, and if everything goes well, I will be part of the show for future as well. I don’t think I need to react to every fake article out there, not everything requires reaction”
