The unique cuisine originated in Hong Kong where typhoons are common and bays are built as shelters for the fishermen, and the food served here came to be known as Typhoon Shelter cuisine. Guests can enjoy the special menu filled with traditional flavours with the freshest lobsters, soft shell crabs, prawns and tofu – a unique culinary journey from port to plate, specially crafted by Master Chef Lian Yun Lie and his team.
For non-vegetarians, there are Steamed scallops with glass vermicelli (Ginger, Oyster sauce, cilantro); Steamed Fish (Fresh Red Chilli, Garlic, fish broth, juvenile pakchoi); and Pe Fung tong Style chicken Legs (Chicken Legs, Crisp fried, pickled chilli dip). Vegetarians can relish Causeway Style Eggplant (Flash fried, minced garlic, black beans, chilli Oil); Sugar Snap, Shiitake Mushroom (Stir Fried, ginger, garlic, light soy); and Wok Tossed Water Spinach (Garlic, dry red chilli). Team these with Dry chilli noodles (Steamed noodles, superior soya, dry red chilli, garlic, sesame oil) with Sea Food, Chicken or Greens, or Wok Hei Rice (Jasmine rice, celery, wok smoked) with Seafood, Chicken or Mushroom/Greens.
