Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted at the launch of “Super Fight League” season 2 here in Mumbai. During her media interaction, Jacqueline expressed that the new format in SFL allows women fighter to compete and she is proud of it.
“Two years back during the movie Brothers, I was introduced to MMA and then I was reintroduced to MMA, last year when the league started and I thought it was amazing”
“I love the fact that the format of Super League fight encourages women fighters and that is what we need to be including in the world nowadays. I am here with Super Fight League to really promote the fact that we have women in this league and I am most proud about it” added Jacqueline.
Jacqueline Fernandez, co-owns Delhi Heroes for the Super Fight League (SFL) – a mixed martial arts tournament – also added that sports should be given equal importance in the country.
“I feel all sports should be (spotlighted). Every sport should be given equal importance”
“What’s very unique about this as well is the fact that they have really encouraged the women in the sport. They are a part of every single team and they are just as important as everyone else. That for me is like a huge achievement,” she added.
On the acting front, Jacqueline currently has two films in her kitty — “Race 3” and “Drive”.
Drive is an upcoming high-tech heist drama helmed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the Hollywood motion picture Drive (2011).
Race 3 is an upcoming crime drama film directed by Remo D’Souza and produced under Tips Films & Salman Khan films. It is the sequel to the 2013 film Race 2 and the third installment of the Race film series.
