Superstar under threat!
Kollywood is under tension as actor Rajinikanth has been issued a notice by Mumbai underworld don’s son. News spread far and wide that the actor has been threatened by the don.
Sources said that Haji Mastan Mirza’s foster son Sundar Shekhar had issued a notice to Rajinikanth. He alleged in his letter that Rajinikanth’s next film with director Pa Ranjith was based on the life of his father. ‘We have our reservations for it’.
Although there is no proof that a threat was issued, however, the notice has been confirmed.
Sources close to Sundar Shekhar have has asked the star not to depict Haji Mastan Mirza as a ‘smuggler and an underworld don in the movie. ‘Any such attempt will attract legal action’.
Sundar Shekhar said, ‘Calling my father a don is highly defamatory. If you are really interested in making a film on him, approach me and I will provide you all details’.
Stating that he wants to bankroll a movie on his father, Sundar Shekhar, said, ‘I am a producer and registered with Indian Motion Picture Producers Association. I am contemplating to produce it on my own’.
The movie which is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films is expected to go on floors 28 May near Chennai. A huge set resembling Mumbai Dharavi slums is erected. Meanwhile, sources close to Rajinikanth or Ranjith chose to keep mum in this regard.
