The annual tribal festival ‘Bhagoria’ will begin at Jhabua and in four other districts of Madhya Pradesh from 6 March.
The week-long festival is organized at different Bhagoria haats (local markets) in Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Khargone and Barwani districts in western Madhya Pradesh. The event is going to be organized at 34 places here, Jhabua collector Ashish Saxena said.
Tribal festival to begin today!
He said the tribal troupes donning their traditional robes will be felicitated during the festival. Almost all arrangements have been made for the event, the collector added.
Young tribal men and women, attired in colorful dresses, turn up at the haats with their traditional musical instruments to sing and dance as a part of the festival.
Foreign tourists also converge in large numbers at these haats to catch a glimpse of the traditional festival.
