Young Achiever Award to Billiards Champion Shrikrishna S

 “Young Achiever Award” to Shrikrishna S, Billiards and Snooker Champion.

Mr. Ravi Viswanathan, President – Growth Markets, Tata Consultancy Services, was the chief guest. Rtn. Ananth Kittappa, President, Rtn. R. Sai Siva Kumar, Director- New Gen and Rtn. Murugavel Selvan, Managing Trustee, Murugavel Selvan Foundation, RCME, along with fellow Rotarians were present during the function.
Rtn. President Ananth said, “The Young Achiever Award was initiated in the year 2011. This award is given annually to promising youngsters from categories of sports, education, technology, social works, literature etc. This annual award is being given to appreciate and identify capable youth and thereby motivating young citizens of the society. This year, RCM East and Murugavel Selvan Foundation take pride in presenting the Young Achiever Award to the talented Shrikrishna S, Billiards and Snookers Champion.”

About Shrikrishna S

Starting from the young age of 10, when most kids are playing video games, Shrikrishna has been playing in championships and winning laurels at the State and National levels and also representing the country in the World Amateur Snooker Championship. His continuous showing at both the National and International outings has ensured steady progress in the game.

Notable games of his were the World Amateur Snooker Championship (IBSF World Snooker Championship), the premier non professional snooker tournament in 2015, and winning Gold in the IBS F- World under 21 Billiards Championship in Adelaide, Australia.

9. World Men’s Billiards – Quarter Finalist – Shrikrishna caused the biggest upset of the competition by sending off Former World No.3 and highly established billiards player from India Bhaskar Balachandra in Last-16 knockout stage.
