Jawan, starring Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, has set the internet on fire with the release of its first song, “Zinda Banda.” The song went viral on YouTube within minutes of its publication, gaining nearly half a million views. This song is even more unique because it has been released not only in Hindi but also in Tamil and Telugu. They’re called ‘Vandha Edam’ and ‘Dhumme Dhulipelaa,’ and they’re aimed at SRK’s large fan following in India.
The music video begins with an exciting appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. He is subsequently greeted with shouts by a group of women dressed similarly. As he shares the screen with co-stars Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani, the megastar’s charm and exceptional dancing routines capture the audience. SRK opens the song by saying a meaningful line written by renowned poet Wasim Barelvi. “Usulo pe Jahan aaye aanch, takrana zaroori hai,” a beautiful couplet, adds a touch of poetic refinement to the high-energy music. Wasim Barelvi’s permission to utilise his moving thoughts was thanked by Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter.
