GRAND MERCURE MYSORE CELEBRATES 9 YEARS OF HOSPITALITY EXCELLENCE WITH VINTAGE CAR RALLY AND CULTURAL FESTIVITIES
Setting off from Bengaluru, A slice of history rolled onto the roads as a convoy of 30 vintage and classic cars, driven by members of the Karnataka Vintage & Classic Car Club (KVCCC), made their journey to Grand Mercure Mysore. The rally celebrated the 9th anniversary of the property, showcasing the enduring allure of these automotive treasures against Grand Mercure Mysore’s regal, palace-influenced architecture.
The festivities commenced with a grand flag-off of the vintage car rally from the hotel. Organized in partnership with the Karnataka Vintage & Classic Car Club, the rally saw the participation of approximately 30 beautifully restored vintage cars from Bangalore and 10 from Mysore. With great enthusiasm, owners showcased their classic vehicles as they journeyed through the city, culminating in a scenic stopover at the majestic Mysore Palace. This iconic landmark served as a perfect backdrop for the participants to admire Mysore’s architectural grandeur and cultural legacy before returning to the hotel.
The celebration started with an exclusive flag-off by Smt. Supriya Harshendra Kumar, Family Member, Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala, Sandeep Jhori, Area General Manager Karnataka, Accor Group and Radhika Tata, General, Grand Mercure Mysore, a special ceremony adding a touch of prestige to the occasion. The event was not only a tribute to Mysore’s timeless splendour but also a reflection of the community’s passion for preservation and tradition.
