The Big Bull is directed and co-written by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, Vikrant Sharma and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
The storyline of the film is based on the life of Harshad Mehta, a stockbroker, involved in financial crimes over a period of 10 years, from 1980 to 1990.
Actor Abhishek Bachchan portrays the titular protagonist, co-starring with Nikita Dutta, Ileana D’Cruz, Sohum Shah, Ram Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was not able to be released theatrically. It is available for streaming worldwide from 8 April 2021 on the Indian streaming platform Disney+Hotstar.
