“Beast” Movie Review – A Vijay Fan’s Take on Thalapathy’s Fierce Action Thriller

by ARUN

 When Thalapathy Turns BEAST Mode

When the first poster of Beast dropped, every Vijay fan — including me — felt that electric thrill. The title itself set expectations sky-high. After all, when Thalapathy Vijay dons the role of a one-man army, we don’t just get a movie — we get a celebration. And that’s exactly what Beast promised. It wasn’t just a film; it was an emotion for millions like me who’ve grown up watching Vijay evolve into the mass hero he is today.

 The Plot – A High-Octane Hijack Saga

Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, brings a different flavor to the Vijay universe. The story revolves around Veera Raghavan, a former RAW agent who finds himself caught in a mall hijack situation. Sounds simple? Maybe on paper. But once Vijay enters the frame — guns blazing, with his signature swag — the screen explodes with style.

As a fan, I wasn’t just watching a hostage rescue drama. I was watching Thalapathy channel his inner beast — calm, sharp, fearless.

 Style, Swag, and Screen Presence

Let’s be honest — nobody walks like Vijay on screen. That unmatched swag in the black outfit, the effortless fight choreography, and those slow-motion entries? Goosebumps. Every. Single. Time.

From the rooftop shootouts to the sleek mall battles, Vijay carried the film entirely on his shoulders. His performance as Veera Raghavan was cool and calculated, quite different from his usual loud-mass characters, and that change was refreshing.

Arabic Kuthu – The Song That Took Over the Nation

How can I not talk about “Arabic Kuthu”?

This viral track, composed by Anirudh, became an instant cultural moment. The hook step, the catchy beat, and Vijay’s killer dance moves had us all trying to copy him in front of the mirror. Even those who weren’t Vijay fans couldn’t escape the Arabic Kuthu wave.

That song is pure fan service — and we loved every bit of it!

Action Sequences – Vijay at His Fiercest

One of my favorite parts of Beast was how it handled action. It wasn’t just mindless fighting — the stunts were slick, well-choreographed, and full of attitude. Thalapathy fighting in complete darkness using night-vision goggles? Absolute chills.

And let’s not forget the climax scene — where he walks through a hail of bullets like an unstoppable machine. It’s pure mass elevation.

 Criticism & Fan Perspective

Now, as a Vijay fan, I can also be honest — Beast wasn’t perfect. Some fans felt the plot could’ve been tighter or that the villain lacked depth. The humor, which is usually Nelson’s strength, didn’t hit as hard as it did in Doctor.

But for me, Beast is a film that showcases Thalapathy’s larger-than-life aura, even in a slightly unconventional setting. Sometimes, the sheer screen presence of our star is more than enough.

What It Meant for Fans Like Me

Watching Beast in theaters on Day 1 was unforgettable. The roar of the fans, the fireworks, the chanting of “Thalapathy Vijay” in every scene — it was an experience more than just a movie. It reminded me why I became a Vijay fan in the first place.

He’s not just an actor — he’s an energy, a feeling, a BEAST in every frame.

 Final Thoughts: Thalapathy Forever

Beast may not be everyone’s favorite Vijay movie, but for fans like me, it gave us everything we wanted — action, dance, attitude, and our Thalapathy shining on the big screen. At the end of the day, Beast is a tribute to Vijay’s evolving style and his commitment to keeping his fans entertained, no matter the genre.

I walked out of the theater with a smile, a racing heart, and even more pride in being a Thalapathy fan.
