Under the inspiring leadership of President Rotarian Nisreen Madraswala, the Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi proudly unveils SPARK – Season 1, a pioneering event that brings together a diverse community of sustainable brands, inclusive enterprises, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs under one roof.

More than just a marketplace, SPARK is a heartfelt movement where every product tells a story, every entrepreneur champions a cause, and every visitor becomes part of something bigger.

With World Environment Day and Pride Month both commemorated in June, SPARK Season 1 stands as a vibrant tribute to sustainability, inclusivity, and social upliftment.

This initiative is the brainchild of President Nisreen Madraswala, whose vision was to create a community-driven platform that not only promotes ethical consumption and eco-conscious living but also raises funds to empower women-led enterprises, including a transgender entrepreneur building her own restaurant and a single mother aspiring to grow her home business.

“We believe in creating platforms that serve a dual purpose celebrating small businesses while also enabling real change. SPARK is a testament to what’s possible when community, commerce and compassion come together,” shares Nisreen.

The finale will bring together a dynamic community of entrepreneurs, artists, and supporters for a day filled with learning, showcasing, pitching, and celebration.

What to Expect:

• Networking & Learning: An enriching journey of knowledge exchange and peer engagement, running until May 2025.
• Product Pitching: Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their products to a selected jury, with the best pitches winning cash prizes.
• Marketplace & Showcase: On the finale day, a vibrant marketplace of 30+ exhibits will come alive, featuring SPARK participants, thrift shops, special children’s crafts, and more.
• Creative Expressions: The event will also host performances by artists and musicians, along with a comedy gig, promising a lively and engaging atmosphere.
