Shanti Kala Nikketan (SKN), a Chennai-based institution passionate about classical Bharatanatyam, is proud to present two landmark events at Rukmini Arangam, Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai.

Udaan – meaning “flight”- resonates with the spirit of Shanti Kala Nikketan. It’s a celebration of dancers’ journeys from their first adavu to their growing expression, creativity, discipline, and confidence- with the loving guidance of their gurus. Over 40 performers, from children to adults, will take the stage- proving classical art knows no age or barrier. This annual event brings together the SKN community – students, parents, and dedicated team members – alongside Satguru Sri Gyan Deepak ji, our Chief Guest.

Jahnavi – a Class 10 student of Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School – is a devoted dancer, trained vocalist, veena player, and silambam enthusiast. Her Arangetram marks not the end, but the beginning of her artistic journey under the guidance of Smt. Sunitta Menghanaani, Co-Founder & Artistic Director of SKN, and a Kalakshetra alumna, recognized by the Exemplar and Best Performer Awards.
The event will be graced by Smt. Ambika Buch, Legendary Senior Alumna of Kalakshetra, and Sri R.K. Sriramkumar, renowned Violinist.
