Chef Manu Chandra Brings a Fine-Dining Twist to South Indian Flavours at the Siemens Experience Centre, Bangalore

BSH Home Appliances brought together the best of innovation and  culinary craftsmanship at an exclusive masterclass hosted at the Siemens Experience Centre in  Bangalore. Curated as part of Siemens’ efforts to transform the modern kitchen, the immersive  afternoon featured Chef Manu Chandra, who reimagined South Indian classic dishes using  Siemens’ intuitive built-in appliances, showcasing how cutting-edge technology can elevate  everyday cooking into a fine-dining experience.

The session themed ‘A Fine Dining Spin on South Indian Classics’ Chef Manu led guests through a  hands-on cooking session, where he reinterpreted the classics with a modern twist. Using the  Siemens Venting Cooktop, he crafted a soft and delicately balanced Ripe Jackfruit Madeleine,  while the Siemens Steam Oven’s advanced roasting functionality brought depth and finesse to  this version of the Karnataka Chicken Saaru.

The stars of the session was the Siemens Steam Oven that offered precise temperature control  for roasting, and even heat distribution, making it ideal to create the perfect Karnataka Chicken  Saaru. The venting cooktop, with its sleek integrated ventilation system, allowed for a clean and  open cooking environment without the need for overhead hoods, perfect for modern, design-led  kitchens. Together, they exemplified how Siemens’ innovation brings both performance and  aesthetics into the contemporary culinary space.

The masterclass was designed for a select group of tastemakers and food lovers. It spotlighted  how traditional dishes can be elevated through intelligent kitchen appliances, blending modern  technique with bold, regional flavours. Built for individuals who are curious and want to live in  the future, Siemens products are designed to be intuitive, and elegantly minimal, helping home  chefs create elevated dishes with ease.

Chef Manu brought his learnings from the world’s most acclaimed kitchens to a culinary school style session at Siemens, showing talented home cooks and enthusiasts how a great appliance at  home is often underutilized—but fully capable of producing fine-dining-worthy plates. The  Siemens Experience Centre served as the perfect setting, giving attendees a deeper  understanding of how design-forward, tech-enabled kitchens can reshape not just how we cook,  but how we live.

Commenting on the association Chef Manu Chandra said, ““As a chef, I thrive on reinterpreting  the familiar—and South Indian flavours offer incredible depth to do just that. With Siemens’
