Santa’s Express
At the West Chester Railroad, climb aboard Santa’s Express and take a train with the big guy through the gorgeous countryside on all weekends in November and December. Live music, treats from Santa and photo opportunities guarantee to make this a treasured holiday tradition for the whole family.
West Chester Christmas Parade
A night of fun with lights, floats and performances culminates with the arrival of Santa on December 5, 2025, at the West Chester Christmas Parade. Downtown West Chester celebrates with a tree-lighting at 6:30 pm and a parade at 7 pm. Then walk along the illuminated town to choose from dozens of delectable restaurants for dinner. In addition to Santa’s arrival at the parade, there are other appearances around town like his 3 pm Saturday fire truck tours.
American Helicopter Museum’s SantaFest
Trains and sleighs are not the only modes of transportation for Santa. Santa arrives in a helicopter at the American Helicopter Museum’s SantaFest on December 6, 2025, where children will delight in face-painting, music, and crafting ornaments.
Firebird Festival
The fun continues at Firebird Festival in Phoenixville, one of the county’s most unique holiday festivals with festive markets and a breathtaking burning 20-foot wood sculpture of a Phoenix. The festival, set for December 13, is a celebration of arts, culture, the continuity of life, and rebirth.
Holiday Movies Galore
Holiday entertainment is sure to add sparkle to the holiday getaway. Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester and the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville show several holiday movies starring Santa including, Elf, The Polar Express and A Christmas Story.
A Longwood Christmas
For more magic, Santa knows to include a visit to A Longwood Christmas, running through January 11, 2026, to experience the outdoors, stroll among illuminated trees and an amazing tunnel of light. Tickets are for specific dates and times and sell out quickly.
