Pongal Utsav reflects Novotel’s commitment to celebrating cultural authenticity through immersive culinary experiences.Taking place from January 10 to January 14, 2026, at The Square, the signature all-day dining restaurant at Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road.
Pongal Utsav brings the spirit of the harvest festival—gratitude, abundance, and togetherness—to the table through a thoughtfully curated, harvest-inspired menu that pays homage to South India’s rich culinary heritage.
Thoughtfully curated by Executive Chef Owaize Ahmed Khan and his culinary team, Pongal Utsav at The Square showcases time-honoured recipes from Tamil Nadu and Andhra. The culinary journey begins with traditional favourites such as Medu Vadai, crisp and golden, and Kuzhi Paniyaram, soft, spiced, and comforting. The highlight of the menu, Ven Pongal, is slow-cooked with rice, lentils, ghee, and pepper and served alongside classic accompaniments like Sambar and Coconut Chutney.
Guests can further savour regional delicacies including Kara Kuzhambu, Avial, and seasonal Poriyals, paired with steamed rice and traditional condiments. The experience concludes on a sweet note with Sakkarai Pongal, symbolising prosperity and sweetness for the year ahead.
