DOU Brew Room & Bakehouse brings the world between two slices with Sandwiches Without Borders, a festival of iconic sandwiches from Chicago, Japan, Spain, Cuba, Germany, and beyond, all built on DOU’s freshly baked breads from March 12th 2026 onwards at Alwarpet & Nungambakkam, Chennai.

Sandwiches Without Borders at DOU is a global exploration of one of the world’s most beloved comfort foods. From American delis and Japanese convenience counters to Mediterranean bakeries and North African street stalls, the sandwich exists in countless forms across cultures.

This festival brings together a curated lineup of iconic international sandwiches, each rooted in its place of origin while being crafted on DOU’s fresh-baked breads and bold ingredient combinations. Bread takes centre stage, from baguettes and milk bread to pita and soft rolls.

The festival journeys through different food cultures with sandwiches that have become regional favourites. Guests can experience classics such as the Chicago-style Italian Beef, Japan’s Tamago Sando, Spain’s Bocadillo, the Cuban Sandwich, Germany’s Fischbrötchen, and the Tunisia-inspired Fricassé, alongside comforting American staples like the Tuna Melt and Shrimp O’ Boy.
