Global Philanthropy Meets Community Service: Timken Foundation of Canton, Timken India Limited and Rotary Club of Madras Gift Advanced HBOT Facility

~ Rotary Club of Madras Hands Over Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber to Omandurar Government Hospital ~

The Rotary Club of Madras, with the generous support of the Timken Foundation of Canton, formally handed over a state-of-the-art Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Chamber to the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital, Omandurar, Chennai.
The handover ceremony was graced by Mr. Sanjay Koul, Chairman & Managing Director, Timken India Limited, and Rtn. Ravi S, District Governor Nominee, RI District 3234, as Guests of Honour, along with Club President Rtn. S. Balakrishnan, IPP Rtn. Nikhil Raj and Club members.
The advanced HBOT facility will significantly enhance treatment for patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, chronic non-healing wounds, burns, radiation injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning, and other critical conditions, improving recovery and saving lives.
The Rotary Club of Madras expressed its gratitude to Dr. Mani and Dr. Sridhar of the Government Hospital for their outstanding leadership and coordination in implementing the project. Appreciation was also extended to Mr. Muralidharan and the technical team for the successful installation and commissioning of the equipment.
The project stands as an excellent example of a successful Public–Private–NGO partnership, bringing together the Government of Tamil Nadu, Timken Foundation of Canton, Timken India, and Rotary Club of Madras to strengthen public healthcare infrastructure and improve access to advanced medical treatment for the community.
The Rotary Club of Madras reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with government and corporate institutions to undertake impactful healthcare initiatives that transform lives and serve humanity.
