Alternate Realities Abraham & Thakore Autumn-Winter 2025 collection invites you into Alternate Realities – a space where memory, craft, and imagination overlap to create new possibilities in how we choose to dress.
This collection examines the desire to move beyond the ordinary, challenging conventional ideas of fashion and identity. It reflects on whether fashion must follow trends or if it can offer room for quiet expression, for confidence without conformity.
Luxury is redefined not by excess but by intention. Not by overt symbols, but by the subtle elegance of something made by hand — a piece shaped by human thought, touched by human skill.
In a world increasingly shaped by the digital, Alternate Realities returns to what is personal and tactile. It values the imperfections, the irregularities, the quiet character of the handmade.
With a modern Indian perspective and a global sensibility, the collection resists inherited frameworks. It invites us to look beyond the expected, to draw from diverse sources of meaning and style.
Patterns shift and dissolve like fleeting memories from freehand geometrics and dreamy florals to shadowy brushstrokes, the traditional merges with the contemporary. Textures create quiet drama through Hand aari embroidery, sequins, applique and black printing create intricate textures on luxurious silks, organzas and georgettes – elevating indigenous craft into contemporary luxury.
Here, the everyday transforms. Nostalgia finds a new language. And the familiar takes on fresh form. These are clothes that step away from the stereotypical, offering an approach to dressing that is effortless, elegant, and boldly imaginative.
In this alternate reality, less is more than ‘Just Enough’.
