‘My film ‘Hindutva’ will make people aware about the true meaning of Hindu ideology’, Karan Razdan

Filmmaker Karan Razdan who has directed films like Girlfriend and Hawas in the past is coming up with the next film of his which is titled as ‘Hindutva’. He is very sure that his film will change the way people think about Hinduism. The director spoke to News Helpline about the film, the title and more.

Karan unveiled the title of his film in presence of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence in Dehradun on Monday. When asked if the title of the film will create controversy, he said, “When I told some people about the title of the film, some of them were surprised and said this is a controversial subject. I asked them is Christanity or Judaism controversial? Then why is ‘Hindutva’ controversial?”

He further added, “Through my film Hindutva’ we will make people aware about the true meaning of Hindi ideology. It is the other name of Love, goodwill and brotherhood.”

“Whatever I have learned about Hindutva as an ideology, it teaches that there is nothing bigger than spreading love in the world. At the end of the film, people will know that the true meaning of Hindutva is love, sacrifice and goodwill”, he further added.

The film ‘Hindutva’ will be about childhood friendship, love, religion and politics. It stars Sonarika Bhadoria, Ashish Sharma and Ankit Raj in lead roles.
