THEMES OF THE ECO DAY: As we already know that themes are observed to create awareness specifically, Environment Day is not an exceptional one. To spread awareness of the impacts of the environment in our life, themes are essentially introduced every year to get maximum knowledge and a better understanding of the environment.
The first-ever theme of this important day as aforementioned – “Only one Earth” in 1973. Later, the celebration has been followed by different themes to educate people in a particular area. In 2018, the theme for Eco Day was “Beat Plastic Pollution” and the theme for 2019 was “Air Pollution” which concentrated on pollution caused by air in different ways and how to control it.
The theme for this year (2020) is “CELEBRATE BIODIVERSITY” which is hosted in Columbia in partnership with Germany as it is the need of the hour.
