It looks like waiting for Friday the first day, the first show is going to be the thing of the past! The theatrical release of the film is now changing into digital release. After the announcement of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ getting a digital premiere, here comes big news again, Vidya Balan starrer ‘Shakuntala Devi’ to also make its premiere on the digital platform only on Amazon prime Video.

The film revolves around the life of Shakuntala Devi who is also known as the human-computer. She could do complex calculations within seconds. National Award-winning actress Vidya Balan will essay her role on the screen. The film also features Sanya Malhotra who plays the role of Shakuntala Devi’s daughter in the film, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta.
The film was scheduled to be released on May 8, 2020, but owing to the corona pandemic the film will now have a digital premiere on Amazon Prime. Film has been written and directed by Anu Menon and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhotra. The date of the Digital release will be announced very soon.
