Masaya Debuts In Goa With Sunset Dining And Elevated Evenings In Vagator

Set to redefine Goa’s sunset culture, Masaya launches as a new experiential destination. For Comfort and joy. The name, drawn from the Filipino language, captures the emotion the space is designed to evoke: warm, immersive, and uplifting from the very first moment you step in. Perched on a cliff in the heart of Goa’s Anjuna, Vagator belt, Masaya is envisioned as one of the region’s most compelling sundowner destinations by day and a high-energy powered outpost by night. The name masaya reflects the feeling of comfort and joy and a sense of freedom and joy. It’s the place where the sunsets slow you down and nights set you free.  Imagined by founders Ishaan Sharma, Rohit Khullar, Gaurav Mendiratta, and Sachin Manchanda, the experience is shaped by bold interiors, flowing curves, and a sense of transition that mirrors the sky as it shifts from golden hour to nightfall. As the evening deepens, lighting shifts,3D projections emerge, and the space transforms, making Masaya a place where the sunset lingers, and comfort and joy stay long after.

The venue unfolds as a layered experience, moving effortlessly from an intimate indoor dining space to a rooftop that opens fully to the sea and endless horizon, before flowing into a tropical, jungle-inspired bar built for shared moments and high social energy. Designed by Akhlakh of Sketch All Studios, the interiors draw from Afro-Egyptian influences, placing art and sculpture at the centre. Each section hosts up to 200 guests while retaining a sense of openness and ease. As evening sets in, lighting, 3D projections, and visual mapping subtly transform the ambience. Masaya by Bravo Hospitality is a sundowner dining and party destination that celebrates golden hour indulgence before slipping seamlessly into high-energy nightlife.

At Masaya, the food and bar programme is designed to move with the rhythm of the space, expansive, global, and made for sharing. The multi-cuisine menu features Sushi, Dim Sum, Mezze, Asian Small Plates, Indian Grills, and Coastal Seafood, carefully crafted to suit both leisurely daytime dining and late-night indulgence. Standout plates include Goma Crispy Mushroom and Peri Peri Prawn Tempura sushi, Mushroom Laksa, and Chicken Chilli Oil Dim Sum, as well as generous mezze platters featuring Falafel, Sambousek, Lamb Chops, and Fish Kebabs. Indian grills such as Kur Kure Mushroom Kebab, Chicken Ghee Roast Seekh, and Aleppo Tandoori Prawns anchor the menu with bold, familiar flavours, while artisanal pizzas like Fungi e Truffle and Meat Club, along with pastas such as Chicken Ragu Pappardelle and Cajun Chal bar built for social flow. Drawing from Afro-Egyptian influences, the design places art, sculpture, and immersive lighting at its core, allowing the ambience to shift subtly from afternoon through night. With a multi-cuisine menu crafted for both leisurely lunches and late-night dining, an interactive cocktail program, and a soundscape that transitions from Afro and house to hip hop and techno, Masaya offers a considered balance of relaxation and intensity.

Behind the bar, Masaya introduces a progressive new-age one-of-its-kind cocktail philosophy in India that places flavour before spirit, organising drinks by mood rather than category. Keeping things open and playful, guests can start by crafting their own cocktail, choosing a spirit, a flavour direction, and a finish with the help of a simple illustrated cocktail map placed at the table. It is an easy process that invites experimentation without overthinking, letting the bar team take those choices and turn them into a balanced drink within minutes. For those who prefer to explore what is already on the menu, Masaya offers a line-up of flavour-driven cocktails such as the Cola Caramel Royale, a clarified bourbon take on a familiar cola float, Tamarind Tide with tequila and tamarind-led umami notes, and Lychee Lemongrass Silk built around Asian botanicals. Tropical pours like Mango Coastline and Goa Street Feni sit alongside bolder creations such as Pickle Me Gin and Midnight Garden, with non-alcoholic options including Strawberry Matcha Cloud, Watermelon Basil Breeze, and Curry Leaf Kokum Twist, all designed with the same layered approach to flavour and balance.

Music anchors the Masaya experience, moving through Afro, house, hip hop, and techno as the day transitions into night. Sound and lighting evolve with the energy of the space, turning Masaya from a laid-back sundowner destination into a refined, high-energy club after dark.

Ishaan Sharma, Founder, “Masaya means comfort and joy, and that emotion sits at the heart of everything we have created. The name reflects a sense of freedom and lightness, which is exactly how the space is meant to feel. The view and the sunset help you unwind, and as night falls, the energy invites you to dance. Masaya brings together relaxation and luxury in one seamless experience.”

Masaya opens as a statement of modern coastal luxury. Designed for those who value atmosphere as much as aesthetics, it moves seamlessly from relaxed daytime elegance to a controlled, after-dark intensity. As the night unfolds, the experience sharpens, the crowd settles in, and the sense of arrival becomes unmistakable. Masaya is not chasing attention. It commands it.
