Vishesham, a new fine dining restaurant in Nandanam, has officially opened its doors, offering Chennai a curated culinary experience that celebrates the depth, diversity, and heritage of South Indian cuisine. Built on the belief that meals are not only about taste but about moments, traditions, and togetherness, Vishesham blends nostalgia with modern refinement.
At Vishesham, every dish tells a story. The menu brings together the warmth of Tamil Nadu’s home-style kitchens, Kerala’s coastal aromas, Karnataka’s royal staples, and the fiery flavours of Andhra and Telangana. Slow-cooked gravies, traditional spice blends, and regional specialties are crafted to evoke memories of family meals—served on banana leaves, in brassware, and with wholehearted authenticity.
Signature offerings include the Uthukuli Vennai Kozhi Vellai Kuruma, Dindigul Mutton Kola, Karivepaku Royyalu Vepudu, Gutti Vankaya Koora, Neer Dosai with chutneys, and a selection of South Indian desserts such as Burnt Badam Halwa and Palada Payasam. The restaurant’s mocktail program has also gained attention, featuring drinks inspired by indigenous ingredients like vetiver, palm jaggery, and coconut milk.
Designed with traditional motifs, warm lighting, and lotus-inspired décor, Vishesham creates a dining environment that feels both elegant and deeply familiar—where families gather, friends reconnect, and strangers share meals that feel like home.
