Q+ Launch Soirée: A New Era of LGBTQ+ Inspired Lifestyle and Culture Begins in India

The much-anticipated Q+ Launch Soirée transformed SORTD Café into a vibrant, inclusive space where art, literature, and identity merged to announce the arrival of Q+, India’s first integrated LGBTQ+ inspired lifestyle ecosystem.

Conceived by Deepak Josey, the Architect of the World of Q+, and Sushana Adurthi, the Custodian of the Q+ Narrative, Q+ is not just a brand, it is an entire living universe that connects community, design, commerce, storytelling, and experience into one seamless world of belonging.

The soirée marked the official unveiling of the Q+ digital platform and brand identity. This grand public reveal on October 11, 2025, symbolically aligned with National Coming Out Day, represents the first phase of a four-stage roadmap that will unfold through 2028.

The evening also celebrated the launch of the first Q+ novel – The Indian Lesbian Vol. 1.1: The Director’s Cut, authored by Sushana Adurthi – a bold literary debut that sets the tone for Q+’s storytelling philosophy. The book blends fiction and manifesto, offering an intimate look into queer life from an Indian perspective and establishing the cultural authority that underpins every Q+ experience.

Attendees were introduced to the Q+ website, digital forums, and lifestyle merchandise, each designed with a distinct aesthetic that embodies the sophistication, inclusivity, and authenticity of the Q+ world.

The Q+ journey is strategically structured in four key phases that will roll out over the next three years:

Phase 1: Digital Foundation & Cultural Establishment (Oct 2025 – Dec 2025)

  • Launch of the Q+ platform and community forums.
  • Integration of storytelling, merchandise, and chat spaces that create belonging.
  • Early adopters form the first generation of the Q+ digital tribe.

Phase 2: Events & Social Expansion (Jan 2026 – Dec 2026)

  • Launch of the Q+ e-Magazine in January 2026 and print edition in September 2026.
  • Curated Q+ events, including music festivals, film screenings, and experiential gatherings, designed to celebrate community culture.
  • Release of the Q+ Dating App in April 2026, which brings together the entire ecosystem, prioritizes secure, authentic and meaningful connections as well.

Phase 3: Physical Ecosystem (Dec 2026 – Dec 2027)

  • Opening of Q+ Cafés, Boutiques, Art Galleries, and Lodges, each envisioned as sanctuaries of belonging and creativity.
  • Introduction of Corporate Diversity & Inclusion programs to integrate Q+ values into professional spaces.

Phase 4: Global Expansion & Cultural Export (2028 and beyond)

  • Launch of Q+ residential communities and a content production house and streaming platform.
  • Establishment of Q+ as an international cultural brand, rooted in India but resonating globally.

As Sushana Adurthi expressed during the launch:

And as Deepak Josey added:
