Grand Mercure Bangalore Celebrates the Culinary Heritage of Gujarat and Rajasthan with Ms. Susheela Kankariya
Grand Mercure Bangalore is bringing the authentic flavours of Gujarat and Rajasthan to the city through a special culinary collaboration with Ms. Susheela Kankariya, who has dedicated herself to keeping the culinary traditions of Gujarat and Rajasthan alive through authentic regional recipes passed down from generations. Inspired by recipes that have been enjoyed across generations, this limited time dining experience celebrates the warmth of home cooked meals and the stories that make every dish special.
Drawing from the culinary heritage of Gujarat and Rajasthan, the specially curated menu showcases recipes made with fresh local ingredients, traditional cooking methods and flavours that have remained close to their roots. The experience offers guests an opportunity to discover the simplicity, diversity and richness of two of India’s most loved regional cuisines.
The special menu will be available across two of Grand Mercure Bangalore’s signature restaurants. Guests can enjoy an exclusive à la carte selection at The Verandah, the hotel’s all day dining restaurant, while By The Blue will host a special Sunday Brunch, featuring an elaborate buffet with a wider selection of authentic Gujarati and Rajasthani favourites.
The menu includes live stations serving Mini Ragada Pattice, Papdi Chaat, Thepla and Bajra Roti, along with favourites such as Khandvi, Handvo, Dhokla and Kachori. Guests can also enjoy comforting dishes including Khichdi Kadhi, Dal Dhokli, Gatte ki Sabzi, Gatte ka Pulao, Ker Sangri Pickel, Missi Roti and Drumstick Thepla. To complete the experience, the dessert selection features Moong Dal Halwa, Mohanthal, Sweet Khichda, Lauki Halwa, Coconut Laddoo, Churma and refreshing Mango Shrikand.
