Rain, Spice and Everything Nice: Monsoon Cocktails Arrive at Aahii
As Mumbai settles into the rhythm of the monsoon, Aahii, the contemporary North Indian dining destination at in Worli, invites guests to savour the season with an exciting cocktail lineup inspired by the flavours, aromas and nostalgia of the Indian rains. Blending regional influences with contemporary mixology, the monsoon menu transforms familiar seasonal ingredients into imaginative pours designed for long, rain-soaked evenings.
Leading the line-up is Jamun Paloma, a refreshing celebration of the season’s beloved fruit, balancing its signature sweet and tart notes. SOBO 25 (Lychee Martini), turns the tropical sweetness of fresh lychees into a crisp, elegant martini. Cloud 9 A cloud of silky foam, lifted by warm cinnamon and bright citrus. Elegant, comforting, and crafted for the season of rain.
Few things capture a Mumbai monsoon quite like roasted corn by the sea, and Wet Monsoon (Corn Margarita) translates that familiar smoky, savoury nostalgia into a playful cocktail. For cooler evenings, 5 Spices (Chai Old Fashioned) combines the rich, bold character of a classic Old Fashioned with a specially crafted mix of aromatic spices of five traditional chai spices. Rounding off the selection is Aahii No. 1 (Cinnamon Sour), the restaurant’s signature seasonal sour, where the warmth of freshly ground cinnamon meets bright, balanced flavours.
The cocktails pair beautifully with Aahii’s selection of slow-cooked kebabs, fragrant biryanis and inventive small plates, including the Smashed Burrata Chakhna Chaat. Whether it is an after-work drink, a leisurely dinner or simply an excuse to watch the rain with a cocktail in hand, Aahii offers a warm and sophisticated retreat from Mumbai’s monsoon bustle.
