Inspired by Brown’s childhood growing up in Christchurch, New Zealand, and shaped by the influence of his mother, nana, pop and local football club, Riccarton Knights, the collection captures themes of home, family, and self belief, celebrating the places and people that shape identity.

The GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 sneaker is a deeply personal interpretation of Brown’s values and Māori culture of home and healing. The shoe incorporates mesh panelling as a respectful nod to the original collaboration, an important value of Brown’s Māori culture of honouring those who enable forward movement.

Pebbled SILKYWRAP™ material ASICS Stripes reference the years of hard work put in by Brown’s mother, with their aged texture symbolising experience earned over time, while brown overlays reflect family heritage and a feeling of comfort and belonging.

Retaining the iconic silver accents of the GEL-CUMULUS™ line, the sneaker honours ASICS’ performance heritage, while custom insoles recreate the carpet of Brown’s childhood home, and the place where his journey began as an aspiring young footballer.
