Over 4,200 runners participated in the second edition of Mindspace EcoRun 2.0 held at Mindspace Madhapur on Sunday. Organized by Mindspace REIT in association with Mirchi, the event combined fitness with a strong sustainability message.
The marathon featured 5 KM, 10 KM, and 21 KM categories, attracting a diverse mix of seasoned runners, first-timers, families, and corporate teams. Participants across age groups contributed to a vibrant and inclusive community turnout.
The event was flagged off by celebrities including Divi Vadthya, Harsh Roshan, and Sridevi Apalla, while Mirchi RJs added energy and engagement throughout the morning.
Built around a sustainability-first approach, the event incorporated eco-friendly practices such as plantable bibs, organic jerseys, refillable hydration stations, and biodegradable cutlery, minimizing single-use waste.
Ahead of the marathon, the EcoRun Expo held on February 20 and 21 featured a Sustainability Flea Market in partnership with Nirmaan. The initiative supported livelihoods for specially abled individuals and women from underprivileged communities.
A key highlight of this edition is that the waste generated during the event will be upcycled into functional chairs and donated to school children through the NGO partner.
