Singer Mika Singh Face Backlashes For Performing At A Wedding In Karachi

Since India revoked Article 370 and JnK’s special status, Pakistan has downgraded its diplomatic ties and snapped trade relations with India. Amid the growing tensions between the two countries, singer Mika Singh was seen performing across the border, after the video went viral netizens slammed him for working in Pakistan.

Mika reportedly performed on August 8th at a wedding ceremony in Karachi and the videos of the performance taken by some guests at the wedding were shared on social media. The Punjabi singer was apparently charged USD 150,000 for his performance.

Fans took to their twitter page to call him out for the act, one twitter user wrote, “Shame on you traitor.” “Let them keep this creep in Pakistan,” wrote an angry user.

“Mika Singh Paaji we Indians gave you so much love… And in a situation like that when Pak banned all trade ties with us, sending terrorists across the border, our tensions are very high right now. Why did you go to Pakistan for a show? Few bucks are bigger than India?” another user tweeted.

One also went on to say this is now Indian celebrities behave, “This is the truth about Indian singers and actors…they don’t care about the nation as long as money is coming in their already over flowing coffers…I mean how come their heart allows them to go to Pak”

The singer hasn’t come out to speak about the incident yet.
