This January 11, we are going to witness both Ajith (Thunivu) and Vijay (Varisu) films on massive screens. Distributors and many in the industry tried it all to avoid the clash. But the producers of Thunivu and Varisu have set the release date. Also, it is not the first clash for both these big stars.
Both Thunivu and Varisu have a huge budget and are set to compete at the box office on January 11. As of now, Vijay’s film leads Ajith’s flick in the pre-release business. But the trailer views of Thunivu are soaring high. Thus all of us are equally excited about this clash. But which one will you watch first?
Varisu Pongal or Thunivu Pongal
Varisu seems like a perfect family drama with all commercial elements. This film also has a huge star cast and an energetic music album. This Vamshi Padipally movie shows richness and colours in every frame possible. Also, not to forget, the director is a pro in this type of genre. Thus you probably know what to expect from this film. Currently, Amazon Prime Video purchased digital streaming rights. Furthermore, Sun TV has purchased its satellite rights. Already Varisu is leading in the Pongal business and this is definitely a cherry on top.
On the other hand, Thunivu is an action-heist film. This film by H.Vinoth also stars Manju Warrier in an action-packed role. The film’s trailer is already a huge hit. Though this genre is not new, Thunivu seems to have implanted curiosity. Also, H.Vinoth is one of the most sensible filmmakers in the industry and thus we can expect something new. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights were sold to Netflix, while the satellite rights were sold to Kalaignar TV.
