Superstar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are reuniting for ‘Sooryavanshi’ which has been the talk of the town since its inception and now that the diva introducing her ‘Veer’ on social media.
Katrina Kaif dropped a teaser poster from the film. She captioned it, “Now Shooting #sooryavanshi #onset @itsrohitshetty @akshaykumar @karanjohar”
Sooryavanshi is an upcoming action film directed by Rohit Shetty, it is the fourth installment of Shetty’s Police Universe, and the costliest cop film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role along with Katrina Kaif as the female lead.
Actor Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh make cameo appearances in the film, which is produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under their banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions respectively, in association with Reliance Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films.

Kumar’s character as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi was announced towards the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction of Sooryavanshi. Kumar will be playing the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. This will be the first movie in a decade that will feature Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
This movie is written by Sajid Farhad, and co-scripted by writers Manav Das, Anu Rahi, and Shivansh Tiwari.
It is scheduled for release on 27 March 2020.
