A stunning solution to India’s air pollution on the next episode of HistoryTV18’s ‘OMG! Yeh Mera India’
Air pollution plagues 90% of the planet’s human population. According to the World Air Quality Report from 2020, 22 of the world’s 30 most polluted cities are in India, with the national capital Delhi being seen as the most polluted city on the planet. But now, a young architect from Mumbai, Tejas Sidnal, founder of Carbon Craft Design, has come up with a unique innovation to combat this life-threatening problem. On the next episode of HistoryTV18’s super successful series, ‘OMG! Yeh Mera India’, airing this Monday at 8 PM, viewers will see beautiful tiles made by harnessing carbon present in polluted air. The series featuring incredible Indians and their amazing innovations has been airing its seventh season on HistoryTV18 and making viewers across the country go “OMG!” with the gob-smacking stories it showcases each Monday at 8 PM.
Typically, vitrified tiles used for homes and offices are made through a mechanized process that creates more air pollution. But through Tejas’ innovation, these carbon tiles are responsible for keeping the air we breathe cleaner while also creating more opportunities for the artisans who make these handcrafted tiles. A mere 1 sq. ft. of this tile can prevent 30,000 litres of air from becoming polluted, and since Tejas began manufacturing these tiles in 2018, his company has led to a whopping 30 crore litres of air from getting polluted. The carbon is collected from scrapped tyres, plastics, and agricultural and industrial waste before it reaches the air and is then mixed with other materials to create these lasting and attractive tiles. Watch the episode of ‘OMG! Yeh Mera India’ to see the clean, eco-friendly process of manufacturing these carbon tiles.
Also on the next episode of the series, watch an incredible culinary artist, the largest private collector of Mahatma Gandhi memorabilia and a village filled with young skateboarding champs, this Monday at 8 PM, only on HIstoryTV18.
