Anupam Kher Expresses Gratitude As He Clocks 37 Years In Industry

Veteran actor Anupam Kher made his acting debut with social drama, Saaransh, as the movie clocks 37 years tomorrow, the actor takes to his social media profile and expresses his gratitude to God!

Released in 1984, the film, Saaransh directed by Mahesh Bhatt, also starred Rohini Hattangadi, Madan Jain, Nilu Phule, Suhas Bhalekar and Soni Razdan. The film revolved around an elderly Maharashtrian couple living in Mumbai who comes to terms with the loss of their only son.

This was the screen debut of Anupam Kher. It was chosen as India’s official entry for the 1985 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but it wasn’t nominated.

Anupam Kher dropped a video post on his social media. Anupam Kher is a force to reckon with, he is a noted actor, producer, author, talk show host among many other roles. He is not only popular in Hindi cinema, but enjoys a massive fan following overseas and English movies and sitcoms as well.

On the work front, Anupam Kher will be next seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ which is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. He will also be seen in ‘The Last Show’ and ‘Mungilal Rocks’.

His new show, New Amsterdam, an American medical drama television series, based on the book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital by Eric Manheimer, entered its third season.
