English Album Songs that are Shot in India

Indian locations have hosted numerous well-known English music videos. We considered focusing more on the subject because RRR’s recent Golden Globes victory for Best Original Song has made headlines about India. That is why we will look at some English songs that were actually shot in India.

Let’s Go – Calvin Harris Feat. Ne-Yo

The music video has a rich, regal, Indian vibe to it because it was shot on the grounds of a grand palace in ND Studios, Karjat, Maharashtra. Paresh Shirodkar, a talented choreographer, created the dance, which is unquestionably in the Bollywood style. Due to its popularity, the track from the album “Peace is the Mission” debuted on the UK Singles Chart at number two and at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Minds Without Fear – Imogen Heap Feat. Vishal/Shekhar

Imogen Heap, an English singer-songwriter and Grammy Award nominee, sang the song “Minds Without Fear,” which also featured the Vishal/Shekhar Bollywood music composition duo. The tune was an effort of a musical series broadcast on MTV India, which was directed to give singers and composers from all over the world a popular platform to share their enthusiasm for music. The Samode Palace as well as the streets of Rajasthan’s Pink City, Jaipur, were used to film the musical score, which was influenced by the poem “Where the Mind is without Fear” by Indian Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Across The Universe – The Beatles

This John Lennon composition debuted on the album “No One’s Gonna Change Our World ” in its original form. A number of other artists’ soundtracks were also included on the album. Bounce – Iggy Azalea

The British pop star Iggy Azalea enjoys Bollywood movies. She insisted that India serve as the location for the Bounce music video. The song, which has the concept of a wedding, was filmed on both a Bollywood set and in Mumbai’s streets. The majority of the time, Azalea is portrayed as a bride doing the jhatkas and matkas that are essential to a Hindi film while donning a red lehenga. The rapper’s stylist and designer acknowledge that actress Parveen Babi served as a major source of inspiration for her appearance. She also rides atop an elephant, moves through traffic in an automobile, dances alongside Bollywood dancers, and finally drives off in a scooter.

The Cave – Mumford & Sons

The four members of the band are riding on the Goan roads at the beginning of the third song from the band’s first album, “Sigh No More.” Before passing their equipment to members of a marching band, they pause and say in Hindi, “Accha dost, yeh aapke liye hain.” The 54th Grammy Awards included this song among the nominees for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. In the video for the song, the parading band members are seen lip-syncing to Mumford & Sons’ songs. It was so well-liked that VH1 included it on its list of the Top 40 songs.
