Fire TV Stick HD delivers noticeable speed improvements compared to previous HD models. It is more than 30% faster on average than the previous generation, which means it turns on faster and opens apps more quickly. It provides access to 1080p full HD streaming with HDR10+ and comes with Bluetooth 5.3 support and Wi-Fi 6 for reliable and better-quality video streaming, even with slower internet connections

The new Fire TV Stick HD is Amazon’s slimmest streaming stick yet—about 30% slimmer than other sticks in the Fire TV range. It can be powered through a TV’s USB port via Direct Power, fitting more neatly behind the TV with no need for a wall adapter. The new device is also designed to fit easily into a carry-on bag or in small pockets so that customers can take it on-the-go and continue to stream their favourite content while traveling.
Fire TV Stick HD comes with the new Fire TV experience that is redesigned to be cleaner, faster, and better organised with dedicated categories for movies, TV shows, free, and live content, helping customers get to what they want to watch, fast. It also makes smart home controls easily accessible within the interface, making it convenient to manage and operate Alexa-compatible smart appliances, such as ACs, geysers, fans, and lights.
Earlier in 2026, Amazon also rolled out its redesigned Fire TV mobile app in India. The updated app allows customers to browse and discover content directly from their smartphones, manage their watchlist on-the-go, and play titles on their TV remotely—all with a refreshed look and feel that matches the new Fire TV interface.

With Fire TV Stick HD, customers can access lakhs of movies and TV show episodes across thousands of apps on the Appstore, such as Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar, YouTube, Zee5, and more (subscription fees may apply). They can also enjoy free/ad-supported content, which also includes live content such as sports matches, news, and more. The Alexa Voice Remote makes discovering and launching content easy through voice commands to Alexa or by using the remote’s pre-set buttons.
Fire TV Stick HD also brings cloud gaming to Fire TV HD streaming devices for the first time, helping customers enjoy their favourite Xbox games without any need for a console.
