Supernova Presents GROOVEENA by Rajhesh Vaidhya

Supernova, in collaboration with RV Dreamscape Records, presents GROOVEENA, a  new musical and visual release by acclaimed veena maestro Rajhesh Vaidhya. The track is now  available on all major streaming platforms, inviting listeners to experience the veena’s timeless  legacy through a bold, contemporary lens.

GROOVEENA is a visual interpretation of Rajhesh Vaidhya’s veena composition, filmed at the  culturally rich DakshinaChitra Museum in Chennai. The release brings together music, movement,  heritage architecture, and cinematic storytelling, celebrating the veena not only as a classical  instrument, but as a living artistic voice for a new generation.

Rajhesh Vaidhya, one of India’s foremost veena artistes and a recipient of the Kalaimamani Award, is  known for his expressive style that bridges Carnatic tradition with modern, amplified sound. His  work has taken Indian veena music to audiences across India and internationally

The visual features dancers Sagana Muralidharan and Varshini Mukundan, whose performances  translate the rhythm, grace, and emotional depth of the composition into movement. Directed by  Hari Rajan, with creative direction and videography by RS Vineeth, GROOVEENA is designed as an  immersive audio-visual experience rather than a conventional music video.

A Celebration of Heritage and Innovation.

Set against the heritage spaces of DakshinaChitra Museum, GROOVEENA creates a dialogue between  tradition and modernity. The production honours the veena’s centuries-old legacy while presenting  it with fresh energy, contemporary visuals, and a global musical outlook.

Supernova, a platform connecting artists, brands, culture, and community, presents the release in  collaboration with RV Dreamscape Records.
