Bengaluru, 2026: This Dasara, The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore invites guests to celebrate
the rich culinary heritage of Karnataka with Dasara Oota – A Taste of Karnataka’s Festive Soul.
Hosted at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, 24/7, the 15-day festive experience will be available
from October 5 to 20, 2026, during dinner hours.
Dasara Oota brings together an authentic selection of traditional Karnataka delicacies, highlighting
regional flavours, time-honoured recipes and comforting festive preparations. The specially curated
dinner buffet showcases the diversity of Karnataka’s culinary traditions while presenting them with a
contemporary hospitality touch.
The festive spread will feature an array of regional specialities, including Mysuru Rasam, Hesarubele
Kosambari, Bisi Bele Bath, Mysuru Vangi Bath, Puliyogare, and Badnekayi Yennegai (stuffed baby
brinjal). Guests can also savour traditional preparations such as Avarekalu Gojju, Majjige Huli,
Mysuru-style Mutton Saaru, Chicken Sukka, and Mysuru-style Fish Curry. The experience will be
rounded off with an assortment of traditional Karnataka sweets, including Mysore Pak, Obbattu
(Holige), Shavige Payasa, and Chiroti with Badam Milk, celebrating the region’s rich culinary
traditions.
Speaking about the festive experience, Chef Shahul Hameed, Executive Chef, The LaLiT Ashok
Bangalore, said, “Dasara is a time when food becomes an expression of tradition, togetherness and
celebration. With Dasara Oota, we have brought together flavours that reflect Karnataka’s diverse
culinary heritage, while staying true to the warmth and authenticity of festive home-style cooking.

The experience will also feature channel music, adding to the relaxed and festive atmosphere. Guests
can enjoy the dinner buffet from 7 PM to 10:30 PM, priced at ₹2,100++ for in-house guests.
