Taste the stories of The Modern Peshwa with The Art of Experiential Dining as Conrad Pune opens the doors to a culinary celebration like no other

Conrad Pune brings the essence of royal Deccan Kitchens with a contemporary twist in a limited-edition The Modern Peshwa menu, part of their culinary showcase – The Art of Experiential Dining under Conrad Curates. Curated in collaboration with renowned food historian, author and storyteller Anoothi Vishal, and the Executive Chef of Conrad Pune, Chef Pradeep Rao, this exclusive sit-down experience will be open to all guests from 13 June to 13 July 2025 at Al Di La.

Following a successful invite-only debut in April which received love and praises from food lovers and cultural tastemakers alike, this month-long edition of the The Modern Peshwa is rooted in tradition yet styled for today’s connoisseur. The one-of-a-kind pop-up reimagines the richness of Peshwai cuisine through modern finesse, storytelling and bold flavours. Every dish is an ode to the Maratha heritage, offering a truly immersive gastronomic journey for the discerning diner.

The menu takes begins with inventive small plates like Thecha Bites, a savoury cone filled with chèvre cream and charred pineapple thecha, also the Deccan Burst– a goda masala brie choux pastry with jackfruit. Guests can celebrate local tales from Pune’s Camp area with Vegetable Dhansak Tortellini or Pulled Mutton Dhansak Raviolo, both layered with burnt pinenut butter and parmesan foam. A refreshing Aamras-Elaichi Sorbet leads into the main, where the spotlight turns to the iconic Peshwai Plate, a luxe representation of Bharli Vangi, Kothimbir Wadi, Indrani Rice, and Bhakri.

For those seeking meaty indulgence, From Nagpur with Love brings together a soulful Saoji Lamb Rassa with Indrani rice, Bhakri and baby root vegetables offering a flavour-packed and comforting main. End your experience with a sweet and poetic note with Modak Melange, a play of texture and tradition featuring coconut jaggery modak, Raspberry coulis, and Nutty gelato.
