When nature bestows you natural long locks, embrace and protect them with your love. You could either play with your long strands of hair or your hair would tend to touch your cheeks. Although you could have yearned for long and lustrous hair once, you might be tedious and annoyed to maintain when you are blessed with such long locks. BID ADIEU TO HOT SHOWERS:

The chill climate could make you have a nice hot shower. But it would not be best for your long hair as hot showers would come with their consequences. This is because the steam evaporating from the heated water would open the pores thereby weakening your hair. It would also strip away the natural oil present in the scalp. So, it would be better not to choose a hot shower but you could enjoy lukewarm water to wash your hair.

AVOID USING DRYER OFTEN:

Like hot showers, you have to avoid the frequent use of a blow dryer. It would only leave your hair to brittle and rough as well. This is why it is advisable to avoid using a hair dryer unless you are running out of time. Otherwise, you could sit under the fan to let your hair dry naturally which is best for your long strands of hair.

NOT TO RUB YOUR HAIR WITH THE TOWEL:

Mostly you would use a towel to dry out your hair. If you are doing it, just stop doing it though since it would contribute to split ends when you rub the towel against your hair. The best way is to wrap your hair to dry instead of rubbing it. Also, you could use soft fabrics such as old t-shirts to dry out your long, lustrous hair.

TYING UP YOUR HAIR TIGHT IS NOT A GREAT IDEA:

Tying up your hair is a great idea but ensure not to tie it up too tight especially at night. Remember, like your skin, your hair needs to breathe as well. Since tying it up way too tight would not help you anyway, it would only worsen the health of the hair. Despite tying your hair tight, you could comb your hair and tie your long hair in a loose braid. This would help you maintain the health of your long hair.

TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY:

Since your hair starts to elongate, it must turn out to be a victim of possible hair damages. This is mainly because the tip of your hair which grows older in the meantime would go weaker. This weakness could be in the form of breakages, split ends, and even delaying hair growth. So, try to trim your hair for every three months at least. This would curb the split ends and promote hair growth naturally.
