Finally the much awaited trailer of Thappad is here, the film reunites filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and Taapsee Pannu for this gut-wrenching relationship tale, which goes south with a slap.

Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered with a slap. But one slap was enough for Amrita to question what a relationship stands for and she walks out seeking divorce, which opens up a whole can of worm, where societal pressure, character assassination and age old oppression is highlighted in the most gut-wrenching way.
There are many parallel stories of Dia Miraz, Tanvi Azmi, Ratna Patha Shah and many other women, who are suffering from the same fate or dealing with it in their own tolerating ways.
T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar also dropped the trailer on her social media. The film is co-produced T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks Production. The film also stars Pavail Gulati, Kumud Mishra and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles.
The story of one slap, Thappad, releases in theatres on 28th Feb 2020.
