​Honoured Portraying Parvati Bai in Panipat Says Kriti Sanon

Beautiful and talented Kriti Sanon is all set to play her first ever historic figure, Parvati Bai in forthcoming Panipat, says she is honoured to portray the role.

Kriti Sanon is gearing up for her upcoming period drama Panipat alongside Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. She will be seen essaying the role of Parvati Bai who was the wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau.

The actress took to her social media and shared a new still of her character and wrote, “Parvati Bai – From being a loving woman to being a strong constant support for her husband through all ups and downs to being a fearless force that would go to every extent to defend her people…its been an honour portraying her on the big screen in Panipat! In the picture, Kriti can be seen looking intense as Parvati Bai who is standing in the battlefield. She can be seen clad in a brown and yellow saree in a Maharashtrian style while donning the nose-ring and Bindi.

The film is helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker, it will see Arjun Kapoor essaying the titular role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau and Sanjay Dutt will be playing the main antagonist, Ahmed Shah Abdali. The film will depict the events which led to the historic Third Battle Of Panipat between Sadashiv Rao Bhau and Ahmed Shah Abdali.

The film also stars Mohnish Bahl, Padmini Kolhapure and Zeenat Aman in the pivotal roles. It will soon be releasing on December 6, 2019.
