Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will lend her voice for Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s character in Disneys “Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” in Hindi.
The central character Maleficent is voiced by Jolie in the original version of the much-awaited sequel “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”, which is a tale of good versus evil.
“Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” sees Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies, and dark new forces at play.
Confirming the news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared, “IT’S OFFICIAL…Aishwarya Rai Bachchan joins the #Disney Universe… Lends her voice for Angelina Jolie’s character in *Hindi* version of #Maleficent: #MistressOfEvil… 18 Oct 2019 release in #English and #Hindi”
Jolie reprises her iconic role as Maleficent in the follow-up to the 2014 film. “Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” releases in English and Hindi in theatres across India on October 18.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in the role of a singer who is kidnapped by a troubled father in the unremarkable comedy-drama Fanney Khan (2018).
Rai has committed to star with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, in the romance Gulab Jamun.
